I am a self taught artist. I have been painting primarily in acrylics for over 20 years. Influences include modern artists of the early 20th century, beginning with but not limited to, the movements represented by Post-Impressionism through Abstract Expressionism. A colorist at heart, I like to think of color as a movement onto itself, liberating the artist from the conventional trappings regarding forms and meanings.
