shakirah coleman

Ms. Coleman is originally from St. Petersburg, FL. She attended a magnet high school (Very similar to Durham School of the Arts) where she studied visual arts. She graduated from Gibbs Senior High School in 2003. She left Florida for good that same year because she was accepted into the Savannah College of Art and Design for their illustration degree program. Ms. Coleman graduated from SCAD in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in illustration, and within that same year moved to North Carolina. She currently lives in Durham, NC where she is also a gallery guide on the weekends for The Nasher Museum. The museum is located on Duke University’s campu
