Photography allows me to slow down, stop and really looks at details, patterns, colors and life. I feel more connected to a place I'm visiting when I look more closely at it through my lens. Through photography, I can see how we are all connected. I grew up in Oak Park, IL, right next to Chicago. I discovered my LOVE for photography when I was 9. I "borrowed" my dad's new Polaroid camera, and took our dog and his camera out to our backyard. I was captivated from that moment on.
