Suszanne Bernat Droney is a contemporary painter who focuses on figurative subject matter working mainly in oils and watercolor. She believes the human figure in all its intricacies is the most complicated and challenging subject for an artist. Working from life gives her the greatest pleasure as a realist painter. She strives to create art that is representational without being photo realistic.
This oil painting was created by me with the permission of Arturo who was a worker that did a job for us at our home. He was so stunning visually that I asked him if I could paint a portrait of him and he agreed. I am truly thankful to him, as I am so very pleased with the outcome of my painting.
