I began working with clay in college and found it a wonderful medium to express my creativity. When I became a mother, I realized that was the most rewarding experience I could ever have. Now, my children are grown and I again find myself in the studio. When I returned to the studio, I made lots of bowls. They were useful, people wanted them, and they were easy. But I wanted to grow as an artist, try new ideas and learn from others. So I began to experiment with new forms and decorative techniques. I created story pieces that reflected emotions I was experiencing. I never want to stop learning.
