I have been a nurse for 15 years. I have had a life long passion for art. My job as a NICU nurse is very stressful, and making art is very theraputic. My husband andI have been married for 16 years. We live in White House, TN with our two children: Brice 15 and Ella 5. We are originally from Indiana- GO COLTS!!
I combined two of my favorite artistic styles. Although I am a Christian, I am inspired by artwork of different cultures. I love the intricate designs of mendhi painting. I also love the idea of wabi-sabi. Wabi sabi is embracing the imperfections of everyday life. My artwork is somewhat symetrical, but not precisely so. My straight lines aren't straight, and my dots may be off center. It has taken me many years to become comfortable with my (imperfect) art, and love it for what it is. Now if I could only reserve this thinking with regards to my body :)
