I am a recycled metal artist . I have been creating sculpture for about 15 years now. I have always been a reuser. I make complete usable pedal bikes , water fountains , chairs, benches, wall hangings and free standing sculpture. I ususaly start with a piece that reminds me of something and whatever it be that the piece reminds me of is how I will begin to tackle that sculpture. I am continuing to create from my house with findings from dumpster-diving adventures. With great drive and lots of passion to create, I plan on sculpting things that people can enjoy while helping to diminish the amount of debris that goes into the landfill.
T B POINT
T B POINT
Sculpture
This piece is made from a roof jack vent cover, a unknown car ashtray, a broken light fixture, a cut off length of scrap pipe, a disk shaped piece of cut off pipe, . two pieces of 90 degree metal brackets, and a set of recycled Christmas lights. I used a plazma cutter to put the stairway lighting , door , windows and " T B POINT" on the light house for light to shine through

This was a bird created by the use of recycled bike parts, auto tools ,garden tools, car parts saw blades, drawer pull knobs , and shoe horn.
Lion's head
Lion's head
Sculpture
This is a real fun piece. It is made from car parts, cutoff scrap metal , sheet metal, and saw blades for wood and trees. I used full paint on this sculpture because of the dimension and texture that was present before the Color was applied. The lion's head is part of my new approach to sculpture of wall hung pieces. I feel that more people could enjoy recycled metal art , if the pieces are able to be hung on a flat surface like a wall or fence. Not everybody has a yard to place a magical 3d sculpture.
