Complete this entry form to participate in the 21st Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for the City of Philadelphia, PA employees, retirees and their family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button and receive an automated confirmation email.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be an employee, retiree, or an immediate family member of an employee of the City of Philadelphia, PA.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • The National Arts Program and the City of Philadelphia reserve the right to disqualify any entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Entrants may submit only two entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than Friday, November 15, 2024.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to City Hall, Room 116 via the East Portal Market Street Entrance from Wednesday, November 13th through Friday, November 15th between 10am - 4pm each day.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held in Mayor’s Reception Room 202 located on the 2nd Floor of City Hall on December 12, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Best of Show Award of $400 
      • Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards  are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from December 11, 2024 - January 31, 2025. Please note the building is closed on weekends and holidays.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from City Hall, Room 116 on Thursday, February 6 or Friday, February 7, 2025 between the hours of 10am - 4pm both days.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the City of Philadelphia nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the City of Philadelphia can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or any changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to unforeseen circumstances. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the City of Philadelphia reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Philadelphia, PA is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
