Complete this entry form to participate in the 19th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for Union County employees, retirees, volunteers and their immediate family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button and receive an automated confirmation email.


  • Participants must be a Union County, New Jersey employee, retiree, vounteer or an immediate family member of an employee, retiree, or volunteer.
  • Only two entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • The National Arts Program and Union County reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

  • Entrants may submit only entries which fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 40” in any direction or weigh more than 50lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit
  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than Wednesday, September 4, 2024.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered to either the Parks Conference Room located on the 2nd floor of the UC Administration Building, 10 Elizabeth Plaza, Elizabeth, NJ 07207 on Thursday, September 5, 2024 between 9am - 4pm or to the Trailside Nature & Science Center on Friday, September 6, 2024 between 9am - 4pm.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held at the Trailside Nature & Science Center, 452 New Providence Rd, Mountainside, NJ 07092 on Thursday, September 19, 2024 beginning at 5:30pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • A Best of Show Award of $400 
      • An Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards  are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from September 10 - 27, 2024 at the Trailside Nature & Science Center during open hours.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the UC Office of Cultural & Heritage Affairs between September 30 through October 4, 2024 betwen the hours of 8:30am - 4:30pm each day.  No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither Union County nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor Union County can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances.  The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and Union County reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Union County, NJ is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
