In a world where concrete and asphalt seem to be replacing soil and vegetation, I feel a need to express the beauty of nature. My creations are very organic as a result of my strong connection with nature and influence of the southwest environment I’ve lived in all my life. I enjoy creating with clay, and painting and drawing. My goal as an artist is to capture the spirit and energy of the world around me. I feel I am taking a small part of my subject and in turn giving a part of myself. The process of art for me is a union of energies – a union of spirits.
