A sleek and graceful cougar known for his strength and awesome ability to jump makes his decision to attack as he leaps towards the deer.  Once airborne, he has little control over where he will land, knowing it will be a hit or miss.   The alert deer having heard the cat’s take-off wastes no time in swiftly leaping to safety. There will be another time for the cougar as he successfully closes 80% of all stalks with a kill.  The deer has made this his great escape in the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
