Jennifer Putnam
Jennifer Putnam began painting in the spring of 2017 by participating in a Facebook group for rock painters, where members would paint and hide rocks for the community to find. It was part of a movement that people across the nation were joining, to bring positivity and unexpected happiness to anyone who might find a small piece of art hidden just about anywhere... a park, a public bench, downtown, etc. Jennifer attended a few "Painting with a Twist" classes, and then practiced on her own. One night, very late, she attempted to paint a dog, not realizing she had a hidden talent for painting animals. Since then, Jennifer has painted dog and cat portraits, marine animals, safari animals, birds, and more. She focuses on making a statement through animal portraiture, in which catching the essence of the animal through the eyes is her priority. In addition to animals, Jennifer loves painting scenic images. She uses acrylics on canvas and rocks... and shares her love for the community by holding rock painting classes at a local museum. You can see Jennifer's animal portraits and scenic rock paintings by visiting her Facebook page, facebook.com/bayarearockart, or check out The Dawg Life at facebook.com/thedawgylife.
