JoAnne studied art at Hartford Art School, Brown & NYU, Pratt, CCSU & numerous workshops, and was juried into 75+ exhibitions over a decade. Currently, she pairs art with prize-winning poetry in ekphrastic readings. She holds a doctorate from NYU in Communication Arts and advanced degrees in Special Education, Human Nature & Religion & Philosophy & is an international author, honored as a special education director, for scholarship/research, nonprofit leadership, environmental activism, events & publicity coordination, poetry, art, video camerawork, and photography.
