Great Blue Heron No. 2

I did this painting for my dear friend Sara. Her weekend home was a long time dream for her late husband and her to share with family. It is located on Blue Heron Drive. I left this painting there one weekend when her family allowed me to escape a stressful situation and stay there for the weekend. Blue Herons have also long been a symbol to me of those who have passed in my life and seeing one fly by always gives me comfort that perhaps our loved ones keep watch over us after they move to the next phase of their journey into the universe.
