Maidens of Wine

This piece is actually a digital illustration. The early drawing was hand drawn but then transferred to Photoshop to colorize and create depth.  This illustration has a style that could be split from realism and serialism art style. The wine  that is portrayed in this illustration is the Pinot Grigio wine.  Pinot Grigio is known for its straw color and crisp taste.  It has aromas that flow in harmony ranging from floral blossoms to a  citrus lemon zest. In this art work I tried to show the eccentric taste of the wine. Portraying the women as if they were the wine itself. They are very fluid and harmonious and very light and beautiful. The colors in the illustration are showing both the color of the wine and the grapes the wine is made from. The Maidens of Wine were originally made for a certain wine  scholarship competition. But unfortunately it was unable to be submitted because of  regulations.  Not the illustration itself but the fact that the current status of my schooling did not fit the standards of the scholarship.
