Complete this entry form to participate in the 32nd Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for the City of Hartford, CT. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button and receive an automated confirmation email.

Eligibility

  • Participants must be one of the following:
    • a current resident of Greater Hartford or Middlesex County
    • an employee or family member of an employee of CRT
    • a CAEA member or a student of or immediate family member of a CAEA member. 
  • Only one entry per artist will be admitted.

  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.

  • The National Arts Program, CRT and CAEA reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Entries
  • Entrants may submit only one entry which fits into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need a NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All work must measure no more than 36” in any direction nor weigh more than 10lbs unless otherwise stipulated.
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely on the back.
  • Only wall-mountable 3-dimensional art is allowed. Any 3-D artwork submitted for display must have the necessary hardware or mounting system attached, allowing it to be hung securely and safely on a wall.
  • Free-standing sculptures that are meant to be viewed from all angles will NOT be accepted under any circumstances due to venue restrictions. If a 3-D piece cannot be hung on a wall, it will not be accepted for the exhibition.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified when dropped-off.

  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than February 14, 2025. This registration form may closed earlier if we reach our maximum allowance of 200 artists prior to that date.
  • Delivering Entries All entries must be delivered on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 12noon - 6:00pm at the CT State Capital Community College (second floor).
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of NAP awards will be held at the CT State Capital Community College, 950 Main Street, on Thursday, March 13 from 6-7pm. 
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Best of Show Award of $400 
      • Art Education Award of $200
    • Honorable Mention Ribbons will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
  • Public Exhibit This exhibit is free and open to the public at CT State Capital Community College, second floor, from Saturday, March 1st through Wednesday, March 26th, 2025 during the following days/time (Mon.-Fri. 9am-8pm).
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the second floor of CT State Capital Community College, 950 Main Street, Hartford on Thursday, March 27 or Friday, March 28 from 12noon to 5pm both days. Neither CRT, CAEA, nor The National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program, CRT, nor CAEA can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances. The National Arts Program, CRT and CAEA reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program, CRT, and CAEA reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program in Hartford, CT is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
