Complete this entry form to participate in the 9th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for Huntsville Hospital Health System employees, and their immediate family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Your registration is not complete until you have clicked the ‘submit registration’ button and receive an automated confirmation email.

Eligibility
  • Participants must be an employee, contract employee, retiree or an immediate family member of an employee/contract employee or retiree of Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, or Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, or a volunteer at one of these hospital locations.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the exhibition judges will make the final determination. Artists may only enter in one classification.
  • The National Arts Program and Huntsville Hospital Health System reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for this public exhibit.

Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries that fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely attached to the back. Framed entries must use plexiglass. No glass will be accepted.
  • Only 3-dimensional entries that are “ready to hang” or in a display box with wire securely attached to the back will be accepted.
  • All work must measure no more than 36” in any direction or weigh more than 40 pounds unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit
  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than September 13, 2026 to participate in this exhibit.
  • Delivering Entries  Employees can drop off artwork at any of the following delivery options. Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children: Drop-off will be available in the Basement Classroom on Monday, September 21 from 7:30am - 12:00pm. Huntsville Hospital: Bridge Classroom on Tuesday, September 22 from 4:30pm - 7:30pm or Wednesday, September 23 from 7:30am - 12:30pm. Madison Hospital: Drop-off will be in the Madison Hospital Board Room on Friday, September 25 from 10am - 2pm. You may email melissa.lawson@hhsys.org to arrange an option for drop-off outside of the above dates and times.
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held in the Huntsville Hospital tram hallway near the art display on October 5, 2026 from 4pm - 6pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Best of Show Award of $400
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Art Education Award of $200
      • Additional awards including Honorable Mentions will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
      • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist per classification.
      • Each artist receives a Certificate of Participation.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from September 29 - December 2, 2026. The exhibit is located in the tram hallway of Huntsville Hospital. Madison Hospital employees will be exhibited at Madison Hospital from December 7 - 11, 2026.
  • Retrieving Entries All Huntsville Hospital and Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children employees must pick up their artwork at Huntsville Hospital Tram Hallway on Thursday, December 3 from 7:30am - 12pm or request your artwork to be delivered to your unit. All Madison Hospital employees may pick up their artwork by contacting Betty Madison (betty.madison@hhsys.org) starting on December 14, 2026. Neither Huntsville Hospital Health System nor The National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor Huntsville Hospital Health System can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or any other unforeseen circumstances. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth. The National Arts Program, Huntsville Hospital Health System and Huntsville Hospital Foundation reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries. The National Arts Program in Huntsville, AL is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
