Complete this entry form to participate in the 4th Annual Exhibit of The National Arts Program for University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center employees, retirees, volunteers and their immediate family members. There is no fee to enter the program.

Eligibility
  • Participants must be an employee, retiree, volunteer or an immediate family member of an employee, retiree, or volunteer of UM St. Joseph Medical Center.
  • Only 2 entries per artist will be admitted.
  • All entries submitted must be the original work of the applicant completed within the last three years and not previously submitted.
  • Artwork will be judged in the classification of the artist’s selection; however, in some cases, the
    exhibition judges will make the final determination. Artists may only enter in one classification.
  • The National Arts Program and University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit.

Entries
  • Entrants may submit only two entries that fit into the listed medium categories.
  • All artwork will need an NAP identification label placed on the back (provided at drop off).
  • All 2-dimensional entries should be matted, framed and/or ready to hang with wire securely across the back.
  • All work must measure no more than 48” in any direction or weigh more than 50 pounds unless otherwise stipulated.
  • Artwork that does not meet size limitations or specifications will be disqualified before judging.

Rules of Exhibit
  • Deadline This Registration Form must be received no later than September 25, 2026 to participate in this exhibit.
  • Delivering Entries  All entries must be delivered to the Patient and Family Hospitality Center at the following dates and times:
    • October 7th: 8AM-10AM, and 12PM-2PM
    • October 8th: 9AM-11AM, and 3PM-4PM
    • October 9th: 8AM-10AM, and 12PM-2PM
  • Reception & Awards A reception and presentation of awards will be held in the Deyesu Rotunda at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center on October 27, 2026 from 5:30pm - 7:00pm.
    • Prizes will be awarded by classification:
      • Adult (Amateur, Intermediate and Professional): 3 - First Place Awards of $350; 3 - Second Place Awards of $250; and 3 - Third Place Awards of $150
      • Best of Show Award of $400
      • Youth / Teen : 2 - First Place Awards of $150; 2- Second Place Awards of $100; and 2 - Third Place Awards of $50
      • Art Education Award of $200
    • Additional awards including Honorable Mentions will be awarded at the discretion of the judges.
    • Awards are limited to one cash award per artist.
    • Each artist receives a Certificate of Participation.
  • Public Exhibit The exhibit is free and will be open to the public from October 12 - November 24, 2026 in the Deyesu Rotunda at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
  • Retrieving Entries Each artist is responsible for retrieving their artwork from the Deyesu Rotunda at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center from November 23rd through November 25th, between the hours of 10:00am and 3:00pm each day. No work is to be removed prior to the end of the exhibition. Neither the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center nor the National Arts Program will be responsible for unclaimed works.
  • Liability Every attempt will be made to preserve, secure and protect each entry submitted; but neither the National Arts Program nor the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center can be held responsible for damages, loss of art entries, or changes/cancellation of this exhibit due to low participation or unforeseen circumstances. The National Arts Program and University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center reserve the right to disqualify entries they consider to be unacceptable or inappropriate for a public exhibit. The placing of art in the exhibition constitutes an agreement on the part of the entrant with conditions herein set forth.  The National Arts Program and the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center reserve the right to publish for publicity purposes reproductions of the entries.  The National Arts Program for the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center is a public exhibit and photographing/filming of the exhibit is encouraged.
