Pomegranate
Works on Paper
This linoleum block print focuses on contrast and emphasis while exploring the symbolic meaning of the pomegranate in Persian culture. The pomegranate represents rebirth, life, and renewal, and it holds an important place in Persian traditions and art. I have always been drawn to this fruit because of its beauty and deep symbolism throughout history. It has appeared in art, poetry, and rituals as a sign of fertility, strength, and enduring life. In this piece, I used strong contrasts between light and dark to highlight the pomegranateās form and texture, emphasizing both its physical richness and its cultural significance.
