Jack Vaillancourt works as a plumbing inspector for the City of Manchester’s Planning Department. After hearing about the opportunity for employees and their immediate family members to enter the 7th Annual NAP Exhibition, he immediately thought of his granddaughter Heather and her artistic talents. With the opportunity to participate in this free exhibition, Jack strongly encouraged Heather to enter her piece entitled “Lost at Sea” in the teen category.

Amazing Display for Manchester’s 8th Annual NAP Exhibition
A fantastic display adorns the walls of Manchester’s City Hall through August 28th which includes an extraordinary collection of artworks from employees and their family members. As always, Mayor Gatsas was honored to attend the award reception and announced the 2013 winners as well as his ‘Mayor’s Choice’ award recipient. Over 100 attendees were present at the ceremony which was held in the Chambers on July 31st. Coordinator Vicki Ferraro said that, “the display looks amazing this year with 131 pieces this is one of our largest displays yet”.

A Little Encouragement goes a Long Way for one NAP Participant
This year’s Best of Show winner almost didn’t submit his artwork into the NAP exhibition in Lincoln, NE. The untitled piece, which is proudly on display in his parent’s home, was a gift he created for them. When Samuel’s mother, an employee of the Bennett Martin Library, heard about the opportunity for employees and their immediate family members to enter the 7th Annual Exhibition, she strongly encouraged Samuel to enter his piece of art. Although Samuel initially showed hesitation, the piece was finally submitted and to his surprise, not only won First Place in the Amateur category, b
