NAP to Host First Exhibition in South Dakota

The National Arts Program® is excited to announce our newest venue: Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center, South Dakota.
 
The NAP will be partnering with Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center to host their first annual exhibition in March 2012.  Avera McKennan Hospital will be joining the list of other very successful hospitals who host annual NAP Exhibitions.

Harris Arts Center, GA Announces 2012 Winners

Harris Arts Center, Calhoun, GA is pleased to announce the winners of their 1st Annual NAP Exhibition.  The exhibition features 98 works of art by employees and their immediate family members of Gordon County Schools, Calhoum Fity Schools and the Gordon County Campus of Georgia Northwestern Technical School.  To see pictures from this year's show, please visit their venue page of the website. Participation Doubles in Casper, Wyoming

The Nicolaysen Art Museum was kind enough to once again offer their space as the site for the City of Casper National Arts Program® Exhibition. This was their sixth year and Coordinator Vicky Macy did a fabulous job of increasing participation in the exhibit. The number of participant more than doubled from last year and included, in Vicky’s words, “truly exceptional works”.

Spotlight on Pebbla Wallace - Coordinator for Los Angeles Superior Court, CA

Pebbla Wallace is a Management Analyst for the Jury Services Division of the Los Angeles Superior Court in California and has been successfully coordinating the NAP Exhibition at this location for the last nine years.
 
Pebbla does a tremendous job of making the exhibition extremely inclusive.  She also provides a unique twist to the program by displaying the artwork in the three different jury assembly rooms and asking the jurors to vote for their favorite pieces.  By doing this, she adds an element of fun to an otherwise (as so

Oakwood Healthcare System, Michigan Celebrates its Fifth Anniversary

Sandra Baughman features a looping power point of all the art of the employees on a huge 15 foot screen during the reception of the Oakwood Healthcare Arts for the Spirit Employee art show. As the participants walk in they are drawn to the big screen at one end of the room that is scrolling slowly through each and every person’s artwork. Some just stand and watch, some sit at the tables and watch the show, while other’s try to catch their piece on the next round and get a photo with it larger than life.

Spotlight on Josh Olson - Coordinator for the City of Boise, ID

In 2008 the Department of Arts and History was established by the City of Boise to enhance the Boise community by providing leadership, advocacy, education, services and support for arts and history. One year later this newly created department agreed to incorporate the National Arts Program Exhibit into their schedule of events.
