Participation Jumps in Austin, TX

For the City of Austin’s Ninth year with the NAP, Coordinator April Sullivan made it a point to personally visit different city departments and speak to the employees about the opportunity to participate in the NAP; something she mentioned she had gotten away from the last few years. Not only does this provide a local face to the program, but it raises awareness among employees. The end result, a 50% increase in participation from their 2010 exhibition! National Arts Program® Featured on vcstar.com

The Ventura County Arts Council Visual Arts Committee announces the winners of the 2011 National Arts Program® Ventura County, an exhibit for county employees and their immediate families, on view in the Atrium Lobby, Hall of Administration, County Government Center from December 2, 2011 through January 17, 2012. Gallery hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, closed weekends and holidays.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center, TN

Many of our venues have embraced the new online registration process, but none as whole-heartedly as our Vanderbilt University Medical Center Coordinator Jenny Lewis. For the second year in a row, Jenny has done away with printed registration forms and only accepted online registrations. Not only has the online process made running the program easier, she has managed to increase participation each year.

United Arts Council Announces 2011 NAP Award Winners

Join us for the 9th Annual National Arts Program (NAP) Exhibition sponsored by United Arts and the Raleigh Art Commission. The exhibition, in collaboration with The National Arts Program® Foundation, Inc. (NAP) of Malvern, PA, showcases the diverse artistic talents of municipal employees of Raleigh and Wake County and their families. The artwork will be display at Block Gallery (222 W. Hargett St.) December 1, 2011 to January 23, 2012.

Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport Showcases Talents of Employees, Volunteers & their Families

This was only the second annual NAP Exhibit for Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport and already Coordinator Diane Dombrock is running it like a pro! The National Arts Program Foundation felt honored to see the exhibit in person this year and attend the beautiful award reception, complete with harp music and served food and drinks for everyone. Two special guest speakers attended, including Executive Director of the Metropolitan Airports Commission Jeff Hamiel and Executive Director of the Minnesota State Arts Board, Sue Gens.

Savannah, GA Provides Professional Feel to NAP Exhibition

The Department of Cultural Affairs Gallery SPACE once again hosted the City of Savannah, GA’s National Arts Program® Exhibition. The gallery space provides the participants with the feeling of being part of a professional art exhibition while still maintaining accessibility to the employees to view the show in their daily work environment.

April Sullivan is currently the Artworks Director for VSA Texas, an organization that focuses on bringing forward the artwork of people with disabilities. April immediately saw the connection between our two organizations and was the first branch of VSA to join the National Arts Program® nine years ago.

Second Year Success for Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport

The talents of 113 artists from 27 companies operating at the MSP International Airport produced the 174 artworks in their 2nd Annual Exhibit and Awards of the National Arts Program® for Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport (MSP) Employees, Volunteers, and their families. The exhibit is co-sponsored by The National Arts Program Foundation and the MSP Arts and Culture Program.

Macaroni Kid Congratulates ~ National Arts Winners

The National Arts Program Foundation (NAP) funded $2400 in prize money for this months exhibit at the Osceola Center for the Arts in Kissimmee. Over 100 employees,volunteers and family members of the Osceola County School District and theCenter are exhibiting 165 pieces of artwork in all mediums including painting,photography, drawing, sculpture and craft through November 6, 2011.

The Governor of Delaware Blogs about NAP

I see the creativity of Delaware’s state employees in the workplace on a daily basis. Outside of the workplace, our employees pursue a variety of creative interests from singing in choirs to participating in community theatre to taking photographs of Delaware’s beautiful landscapes.

The key ingredients for success in the arts – inspiration, creativity, and hard work – are traits that are beneficial in the workplace.

Coordinator Caroline Keeney organized the Sixth Annual National Arts Program® Exhibit for the City of Charleston, Kanawha County Courthouse employees, FestivALL committee members and their immediate family members. She was very hands-on in getting the exhibit prepared for opening day on June 17th.

Casper, WY Adds People's Choice

The Nicolaysen Art Museum was kind enough to once again offer their space as the site for the City of Casper National Arts Program® Exhibition. This was their sixth year and Coordinator Vicky Macy did a fabulous job of increasing participation in the exhibit. The number of participants more than doubled from last year and included, in Vicky’s words, “truly exceptional works”.
