NFL Chooses Chicana and Indigenous Artist Lucinda Hinojos to Create Artworks and Ticket Design for 2023 Super Bowl

Ahead of Super Bowl LVII next month, the NFL has chosen Arizona-based artist Lucinda Hinojos to create key art tied to the upcoming sporting event, which will be at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

Hinojos, who is also known as “La Morena,” is the first Chicana and Indigenous artist to be selected by the NFL for such a collaboration, which includes creating artwork that is featured on the tickets for the 2023 Super Bowl and displayed across Arizona in the month leading up to the game.

Boston Celebrates 5th Annual Exhibit

This was the 5th Annual National Arts Program Exhibit for the City of Boston and what a wonderful show it was! The Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture (MOAC) partners with The National Arts Program each year to discover and celebrate artistic talent among the City of Boston employees. Once again, John Crowley, Curator and Exhibitions Coordinator for City Hall Galleries, executed this beloved exhibition.

VIA Metropolitan Transit Returns for their 10th Employee & Family Showcase

We asked Coordinator Daniel Rodriquez to comment on their amazing showcase this year and here was what he had to say. "After a two-year hiatus, the VIA Employee Art Exhibit & Contest returned for its ten-year anniversary. Over the past ten years, this employee program has displayed over one thousand art pieces in a public exhibit. This is an amazing accomplishment for this program, for VIA, but most importantly, for the artists who get to showcase their talent year after year."

Reno-Tahoe International Airport Coordinator to Hand Over Reigns

According to long-time coordinator Mary Lee Mansfield this year’s exhibit was one of the best! Mary said, “I can’t tell you how many positive comments we received from both the employees of the airport as well as the traveling public.” Their 14th Annual Exhibit included works from 112 artists and was displayed in the depARTures gallery at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, NV once again for all to enjoy!

State of Delaware hosts “Weekend Celebration” for NAP Exhibit

This was the 11th Annual National Arts Program Exhibit for the State of Delaware which came back to the Arts Center/Gallery with a slightly modified in-person showcase. Even with some continued restrictions the exhibit had an outstanding collection from 174 artists!

Fulton County Returns for 24th Year

Fulton County, Georgia was one of our venues that had to put everything on hold during the pandemic and were forced to postpone their long-standing National Arts Program exhibit. Coordinators Connie Cross and Amber Broughton were finally able to get this popular event back up and running this year with a showcase that ran from May 2nd through the 31st.  This was the 24th Annual showcase for Fulton County, Georgia employees, retirees and their immediate family members who were all invited to share their visual art talents.
