Artwork Shines in Detroit, MI
The city of Detroit, MI held their Sixth Annual National Arts Program® at the William and Rose Skillman Library.
The awards reception, which took place on July 9th, was well attended by participants and their families as well as city officials. Many of the city officals spoke about the importance of the arts and culture. In particular, Sue Norander, the General Manager for the Recreation Department commented, “In these trying times, it is wonderful to see the people of the city through their beautiful works of art.”

Aurora, CO Celebrates Five Years
Participation increased for the National Arts Program® Fifth Anniversary Exhibition in Aurora, CO. This years show featured 79 works from city employees and their family members with the two largest categories being Adult Amateur and Intermediate. This is a 27% increase in participation from 2009.

Indianapolis, IN Doubles Participation
The Garfield Parks Arts Center in Indianapolis, IN once again hosted the Third Annual National Arts Program® Exhibition. With

With more than 130 pieces by 79 artists, Naomi manages everything from the intake of the artwork to getting it all displayed at the two municipal buildings downtown.
