New Orleans, LA Celebrates Five Years

The fifth show for the City of New Orleans once again reflects this cities determination and courage. The Honorable Mayor Ray Nagin was the Master of Ceremonies, handing out awards to the winners. Mayor Nagin commented on the vast talent within the city and how he had been looking at the artwork on display the entire previous week. In addition to the standard awards, they also give out a Mayor’s Choice Award chosen by the mayor himself. This year’s Mayor’s Choice winner did an entire piece out of paint color strips that you receive at a paint store.

Camden, NJ Reorganizes and Delights with Fifth Anniversary

Sandra Turner Barnes of  Camden County last year decided to revamp the NAP program and the results were outstanding! Opening the exhibition to the residents of Camden County and moving the exhibit back to its original location tripled the response from artists this year.

Philadelphia Opens their 10th Annual Exhibition

National Arts Program partners with Art in City Hall on the 10th Annual NAP exhibit in Philadelphia.  The reception starts at 5pm tonight with Mayor Nutter scheduled to speak. The exhibition will hang in City Hall through February 19, 2010. Please stop by and see the wonderful artwork on display!
